IPL 2024 Match

Why is Mukesh Kumar not participating in the DC vs. KKR IPL 2024 Match 16?

With statistics of 3/21 against CSK, Mukesh Kumar was the most effective bowler for DC in their most recent match.

In Indian Premier League Match 16, Delhi Capitals (DC) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) will square off (IPL 2024). Both sides enter the match having triumphed in their previous games. While KKR defeated Royal Challengers Bengaluru to win twice in a row, DC defeated Chennai Super Kings to record the season’s first triumph.

In their third game, both sides made a few changes to their playing lineups. KKR captain Shreyas Iyer won the toss and chose to bat first. Delhi had to bench Mukesh Kumar, who had bowled the best in their previous match against CSK, scoring 3/21 in three overs. Unfortunately, the right-arm seamer was injured and had to be replaced by Sumit Kumar. In the two games the right-arm seamer has played this season, he has bowled 1.2 overs while giving up 19 runs.

However, KKR also made a modification to their playing lineup, substituting all-rounder Angkrish Raghuvanshi for Anukul Roy. The latter hasn’t had a chance to bat as well and has only bowled one over this season, giving up just six runs. Roy is on the list of impact replacements for Kolkata, though.

Philip Salt (w), Sunil Narine, Venkatesh Iyer, Shreyas Iyer (c), Rinku Singh, Angkrish Raghuvanshi, Andre Russell, Ramandeep Singh, Mitchell Starc, Harshit Rana, and Varun Chakaravarthy are the members of the Kolkata Knight Riders playing XI.

Subs for the Kolkata Knight Riders are Rahmanullah Gurbaz, Anukul Roy, Manish Pandey, Vaibhav Arora, and Suyash Sharma.

Prithvi Shaw, David Warner, Mitchell Marsh, Rishabh Pant (w/c), Tristan Stubbs, Axar Patel, Sumit Kumar, Rasikh Dar Salam, Anrich Nortje, Ishant Sharma, and Khaleel Ahmed are the members of the Delhi Capitals’ playing XI.

The Delhi Capitals Jake Fraser-McGurk, Lalit Yadav, Praveen Dubey, Abishek Porel, and Kumar Kushagra are the substitutes.
