During Match 17 of the Indian Premier League 2024 (IPL 2024) versus Punjab Kings, Gujarat Titans skipper Shubman Gill displayed his peak performance with a stunning knock of 89* (48). With six fours and four sixes in his initial innings, the opening batsman hit the highest score of the current season, leading GT to a mammoth 199/4 in their allotted 20 overs.
Throughout his innings, Gill demonstrated his diverse range of strokes by hitting the ball to every region of the pitch. On the second ball of the 13th over, Kagiso Rabada, a speedster, was also not immune to Gill’s mayhem as he hit him for a spectacular lofted drive that sent him smashing for six straight down the ground. In the eighteenth over, he again launched him for a maximum, blasting him with his sheer velocity over the long on boundary.
