Rinku Singh, dressed in his typical attire, joined Dre Rus in the center.
In the Indian Premier League 2024, match 16 between Kolkata Knight Riders and Delhi Capitals took place on Wednesday at the ACA-VDCA stadium in Vishakhapatnam. After winning the toss, KKR chose to bat first. Phil Salt and Sunil Narine appeared to be in perfect harmony as they began consistently hitting the balls to the boundary. Between them, the first two scored an incredible sixty runs in only five overs, but Salt was killed trying a lofted drive towards mid-off.
David Warner was relieved to get the wicket because he had been dropped early in the innings. However, DC bowlers tried every round in their arsenal as Narine was wreaking havoc on the seaside city. Angkrish Raghuvanshi joined him, and the two of them once more started to glide around the park, keeping the bowlers at bay. Following a hammering 85 off 39 deliveries at a strike rate of 217.95, Narine was removed after they put together a massive 104-run partnership for the second wicket.
As he took Axar Patel and Anrich Nortje to the cleaners, ngkrish did not appear to be very invested in the sport. Before he holed out at third man Khaleel Ahmed off Nortje’s effort at a six off a short and wide ball, the right-handed batsman hit five boundaries and three sixes. However, his 27-ball, 54-run inning had put KKR ahead in the game.
In Visakhapatnam, KKR’s big hitters join the festivities
The opposition’s most lethal duo, Andre Russell and Shreyas Iyer, then emerged. In the opening over, Russell punished Nortje by hitting him for two boundaries. And a boundary and a sixer stubbed Rasikh Salam, who was having a rough day because of Narine. Mitchell Marsh bowled in his arc and was given the typical heavy punishment. Nevertheless, Iyer was duped by Khaleel’s short ball technique once more.
When Rinku Singh joined Russell in the center, he seemed as normal. He hit three sixes and a boundary off Nortje in the 19th over, scoring 25 runs off him. Ishant Sharma, who scored 41 off 19 balls, removed him on the last delivery of the 20th over, and Russell did the same. KKR amassed 272 runs with Venkatesh Iyer at the wicket, maintaining the SRH record for the highest total ever in the IPL.
