- On Wednesday, Liverpool travels to Brighton for the Carabao Cup’s fourth round.

- The Reds are the defending champions and defeated West Ham 5-1 in the third round.
On Wednesday night, Liverpool will travel to Brighton & Hove Albion for the fourth round of the Carabao Cup in an attempt to secure a position in the quarterfinals.
In their last cup match, the reigning champions thrashed West Ham United, and they will play Brighton in the Premier League on Saturday. Arne Slot’s largest margin of victory as Liverpool manager is still a resounding 5-1 triumph.
Slot will be ready to make changes to his starting team on Wednesday after a demanding week that included matches against Chelsea, RB Leipzig, and Arsenal. A few regular first-team players will play, but there will also be opportunities for some of the squad’s supporting players.
Liverpool’s possible lineup against Brighton is shown here.
Brighton vs. Liverpool probable lineup (4-2-3-1)
GK: Kelleher Caoimhin Kelleher has been impressive since the October international break and has started three straight games after Alisson’s injury. In the Premier League, there aren’t many better backup stoppers.
RB: Trent Alexander-Arnold: Slot may stick with Alexander-Arnold rather than hasten the Northern Irishman’s return, even if Conor Bradley is back in contention following an injury. Despite playing a part in both goals against Arsenal, he has yet to find his rhythm this season.
CB: Joe Gomez Under Slot, Gomez has developed into an emergency replacement who is sent in to support Liverpool when they need to maintain their lead. On the other hand, he started the previous round against West Ham and ought to have a more infrequent start on the south coast.
CB: Quansah Jarell Since Slot’s arrival, Quansah has not been able to unseat the outstanding Ibrahima Konate since his first-half substitute on the first day of the season. As a result of his decline in the hierarchy, he will likely play the most of his minutes this season in cup games.
LB: Kostas Tsimikas has a genuine chance to compete with his fellow left-back due to Andy Robertson’s poor play, as was demonstrated in last weekend’s 2-2 draw with Arsenal. However, the Greek defense does make mistakes all the time.
DM: Wataru Endo It’s safe to assume that Slot doesn’t enjoy Endo. Despite being a cult favorite the previous season, the Japan international lacks the technical skills needed to succeed in a holding role under Liverpool’s new manager. He is still a good rotation option, though.
DM: Alexis Mac Allister: After an hour against Arsenal, Mac Allister was substituted off due to an unusually careless performance. He will play a crucial role in Liverpool’s midfield against Brighton, so this is only a passing phase for the Argentine.
RW; Mohamed Salah – Injuries to Federico Chiesa and Diogo Jota leave Slot short in offensive areas. Salah, who has nine goals and seven assists in 15 games against the Seagulls, will thus be the player occupying the right flank at American Express Stadium.
AM: Dominik Szoboszlai: Szoboszlai’s starting spot is under jeopardy because to Curtis Jones’ recent performances. Under Slot, the offensive midfielder has significantly improved, but he still has to work hard to get to the top level.
LW: Cody Gakpo The Dutchman scored a brace in the previous round and has excelled for Liverpool in the cup games. The versatile attacker has had an encouraging season, with his unimpressive cameo against Arsenal being an anomaly.
ST: Darwin Nunez Nunez would have felt much more confident if he had scored against Leipzig and provided a calm assist against Arsenal. In recent games, he has returned to his chaotic best, and he will be eager to test a Brighton defense beset by injuries.
