In the tournament’s first two games, Sandeep Sharma has only taken one wicket.
On Monday, April 1 at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, the Mumbai Indians (MI) and Rajasthan Royals (RR) will play in Match 14 of the Indian Premier League 2024 (IPL 2024). Sanju Samson, the captain of Rajasthan, won the toss and chose to bowl first on Wankhede’s favourable batting surface. The RR lineup had one alteration when Nandre Burger had to be added in place of Sandeep Sharma because of health concerns.
In the opening match of the season against the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), Sharma had a respectable performance, with statistics of 1/22 in three overs, which included the significant wicket of KL Rahul. He was expensive in his second game, too, giving up 36 runs in four overs.

However, Nandre Burger, who had an impression in the first two games, had to be selected to the squad in Sharma’s stead. So far this season, the left-arm seamer has claimed three wickets. He scored 1/30 in three overs in the first game against LSG and then picked up 2/29 in three overs in the second game against Delhi Capitals.
Mumbai Indians (MI) played the same squad as they had in their previous two games and made no changes to their starting XI. Notably, MI has only won once this season and is now sitting in bottom place in the standings after two games played with zero victories.
