Nuggets summer signing idea would reunite Nikola Jokic with $45 million NBA champion

The Denver Nuggets want to demonstrate that their 2023 championship run wasn’t an isolated incident.

The team could be able to get another ring if it doesn’t make it to the postseason this year and reconnect its greatest contributor, Nikola Jokic, with a vital component of its last championship team in free agency.

On Thursday, Eddie Bitar of Fadeaway World observed, “Bruce Brown just does everything well.”

With his 7.3 points, 3.9 rebounds, and unwavering enthusiasm, he can be used by any competitor.  Brown should receive a respectable salary as a free agent, perhaps between $10 and $12 million, given his flexibility on both ends.

Being able to guard three positions, handle the ball under pressure, and make timely shots makes him the perfect connector.  If they can make the money work, the Nuggets or (Milwaukee) Bucks may be the best match; if not, Brown will try to find the team with the highest offer.

During the 2022 free agency period, Brown signed a two-year contract with the Nuggets following two seasons with the Brooklyn Nets.

The Miami product wasn’t a superstar with the Nuggets in any manner, shape, or form, but he had an influence on games on both ends because to his dedication to playing off two feet, reducing his turnovers, moving efficiently without the ball, and playing excellent defense.

Brown shot 51.1% from the field and averaged 12.0 points and 4.0 rebounds per game throughout the postseason.  In June, Denver raised the Larry O’Brien trophy after winning 20 postseason games.

Regretfully, Brown was forced to choose a new team when the Nuggets declined to re-sign the former second-round choice over the summer.

After winning a championship with the Nuggets, Brown has played for the Indiana Pacers, Toronto Raptors, and New Orleans Pelicans. He could be excited about the prospect of returning to Denver.

Similarly, it’s possible that the Nuggets may come to regret letting the versatile NBA champion depart in 2023 and acquiring him for the second time in his career.

Denver may soon be the site of a fruitful reunion.
