In Bengaluru, Kolkata Knight Riders defeated Royal Challengers Bengaluru by a score of seven wickets.
On Friday, March 29, at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) squared off in Match 10 of the Indian Premier League 2024. After winning the flip, KKR chose to bowl first. After hurriedly returning to the pavilion, RCB captain Faf du Plessis was joined by Virat Kohli in a crucial 65-run partnership with Cameron Green. Green was out for 33, but Kohli continued to hit and Glenn Maxwell made a respectable 28-run effort. With Kohli’s 83* runs and Dinesh Karthik’s decisive 20 unbroken runs, RCB managed to rally to a formidable 182 runs.
Pursuing the objective, KKR elevated Sunil Narine to the starting position with Phil Salt. The RCB bowlers were at a loss as both players scored 86 runs for the first wicket. After Narine scored 47 off 22 balls and Salt was out for 30, they both went down. Without hesitation, Venkatesh Iyer and Shreyas Iyer batted, scoring 50 and an undefeated 39, respectively. Consequently, KKR won the match by seven wickets after reaching the mark with 23 balls remaining.
