RCB vs LSG clashes from past

IPL 2024: Reliving the best three moments from previous RCB vs. LSG matches

Prior to the highly anticipated match at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, let’s look back on three memorable moments from previous RCB vs. LSG games.

At the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) will play in the 15th game of the 2024 Indian Premier League (IPL). The hosts will need to win this game badly since they are struggling after losing badly to the Shreyas Iyer-led Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) by seven wickets in their second game.

After defeating Punjab Kings (PBKS) by 21 runs at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium, LSG looked confident. They would want to dominate Bengaluru in order to pick up two more points. Prior to the match at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, let’s look back on three memorable moments from previous RCB vs. LSG games.

These are the three best moments from the third encounter between RCB and LSG.

The weight of Rajat Patidar in the 2022 Eliminator

In the 2022 season of the cash-rich competition, the Royal Challengers defeated LSG by a score of 14 runs in the Eliminator match played at the famous Eden Gardens. After losing the toss, Bengaluru elected to bat first. Rajat Patidar walked out into the middle to assist Virat Kohli after Bengaluru lost skipper Faf du Plessis early in the opening over.

But Patidar appeared aggressive, while Kohli found it difficult to score runs quickly. After facing 24 balls, the batting virtuoso was removed at the age of 25, and Glenn Maxwell, who had only scored nine runs, followed him back to the pavilion. In the last moments, Patidar maintained his composure and kept attacking bowlers.

It took the right-handed batsman only 49 deliveries to get his first century. The batsman from Madhya Pradesh returned to the dugout following his flawless 112 in 54 innings. Bengaluru amassed a massive 207 runs on the board thanks to his knock. RCB ultimately defeated Lucknow by a margin of 14 runs, and Patidar was named Player of the Match for his outstanding batting performance.
